About The Founder
Recyclable woodworks is an organisation that i created in August in my school . Recyclable Woodworks consists of a group of people committed to making our world a better place. The main aim of this organisation is to collect waste wood materials and then recycle it, thus making brand new products such as stationery, examination boards etc.
We go through with this by collecting waste wood and sending it to a factory owned by my parents, which is where old and used blocks of wood, can once again be used for other purposes.
We have gone on wood collection drives to places like the Mussoorie Mall Road and homes that are undergoing construction etc, in order to collect the wood after which the wood was then sent to the factory after which I brought back the ready products which have already been sold.
we went for many drives to sell the made products, and sold products worth rupees 10000 at Mall Road and rupees 10000 in school on the first drive. These products could have also be purchased at the main office of our school Wynberg-Allen . We went from shop to shop as well as places like the Brent Wood Hotel Mussoorie, Cafe By The Way, and some other jewellery and wood work shops as well! Therefore, all in all, we were able to make a sale of a grand total of twenty thousand on our first drive.
Some of these proceeds went towards paying the wages of the makers of these products, while the rest went towards charity.As 2023 came to an end and with Christmas right around the corner, we, the Recyclable Woodworks Team, thought of making a small difference, by brightening the lives of some people.We collected and donated two hundred blankets to the workers of wynberg-Allen’s Senior and Junior school because the change starts with us and those around us as well. The didis and bhaiyas were very happy and grateful to have received these blankets during the cold, winter months. To collect the money for these blankets we also went to the Dussehra Mela that is held in Mussoorie and set up a stall to sell all our products. Through the sales, we earned 6000 rupees, which amounted to a total of 26000 rupees, of which the blankets that we donated were for 15000 rupees, and the rest of the 11000 rupees went to the factory workers that made our products. Multiple ex-students and teachers of the school came to the event, bought our products, and supported our cause as well. It was an extremely fruitful procedure.
We will have new products available in 2024 too, all made by recycled wood and hopefully everyone can buy through our website too,so make sure that you not only help save the environment by using these eco-friendly products, but also help those in need, as all the proceeds will go to charity. To conclude, I would like to say that it has been a very productive year in terms of making our world a better place, and I hope that the next year will only bring more joy and happiness to spread.
Note From The Founder
I got motivated to start this project in 2022 only but because of my boards I couldn’t do anything about it but then in 2023 when I had just gotten back from my board holidays and i was seeing the good that the eco society in my school was doing because I was a part of it how they would help the needy people, we did so many things - help a village renovate their school distribute sanitary pads to females in villages who didn’t have that privilege etc. But I thrived to something more and I kept thinking about and then something came to mind, our eco society always collected donations and then they helped the needy and that would limit the people that they helped and I thought let’s remove that so I created this club in which we would earn the money by making products from waste wood and then donate the money in some way and this was helping the needy in two ways 1- we were giving employment to people for the production of the goods and then we were donating the money in some way to the needy so we were helping more people and were also reducing the wood waste which was being thrown around so were accomplishing 3 tasks at once. As the founder I faced lots of difficulties in make this a successful idea but I always had it in mind that I need to give back to the people and that's what we did I have been Wynberg-Allen school for 10 years and I received a lot from everyone there and I wanted to give what I got back and as well as help more people and this won’t stop in school it will always be what I want and what I will do and now i would like end this note with my school motto EXCELSIOR.

Why Should People Join Me
This initiative that I started aims to help people and our world in many ways , by providing employment , helping the needy people, reducing the waste in our world etc. I have already received a lot of support from my batchmates, my school and even our ex-students but I want to encourage more people to join me on my journey of making this world a better place and this initiative doesn’t only help the world and our society but also our members by showing them what the world really is like and that we take and take from the world and people and how important it is to give back to them and it also helps our members by helping them experience a lot of things and gaining knowledge about the business world as well because in our club we sell our products so doing that gives a lot of exposure to our members so it would be great that new members join us and I encourage them as this will help them as well as the world and the society.
